General

How much will it cost?

We like to keep it simple and straightforward... we charge a flat rate for a specialized log home inspection here in Central Oregon of $399.

 

How is it different from a standard home inspection?

Your standard issue home inspection does not take into account the condition of the actual logs and the construction methods used when building the log home. A general home inspector will focus on the internals of the home... from plumbing and electrical, to the condition of the roof. It is important that the main component of the home (LOGS) is thoroughly inspected as well!

 

What is the turn time on the report?

We get our log inspection report back to you within 24 hours of the inspection!

 

What happens if there are things that need to be repaired?

We let you know in the report if there is any structural or cosmetic components that need to be repaired. If you choose to use us to complete the repair work, we credit back the cost of the inspection to you!

 

Technical

What techniques do you use?

We use a variety of techniques to determine the structural integrity and condition of the logs, from probing for rot to using our state of the art FLIR camera to see any air leaks in the structure. 

What are your payment terms?

We keep it simple and fair for both parties. When we schedule the inspection, we send the invoice for payment in full. After the inspection is completed, we send you the full report within 24 hours!

What payment method do you accept?

All of them! We email you an electronic invoice, that you can pay directly online or we accept; Cash / Check / Credit or Debit card.

Do we also need a regular home inspection?

Yes!

By calling us, you're taking the first step to getting the most important part of your new home purchase inspected; the logs!

While we'll pride ourselves on being log home experts, we do not claim to be full fledged home inspectors. If you'd like the other parts of the home inspected as well, you will need to get a home inspector out as well.
